Clara Svanera
Journalist and head of international relations and women's tourism at the Tuscany Tourism Promotion Agency
Journalist and writer on culture, tourism and international affairs for 25 years.
She has lived in five countries and throughout her career has produced a thousand publications, including reports, special features, guides and books.
Clara has been a correspondent for Scandinavian countries and the United Nations in Geneva.She writes for the most important tourism magazines of the Cairo/RCS group. She is the creator and president of two national journalism awards and head of international relations and cultural tourism at Toscana Promozione Turistica. She is also content and communication coordinator for the ‘Benvenute’ tourism promotion project and creator of BTO women, a space dedicated to celebrating female talent, creativity and power in the tourism sector.
She is the author of several books and guides, as well as co-author of two Lonely Planet digital guides, ‘Welcome to Tuscany!’, a journey through the stories of women entrepreneurs in the tourism sector and Tuscany.
