Benjamín Lana
Managing Director of Vocento Gastronomía (Madrid, Spain)

Lana holds a degree in Information Sciences and a Master's degree in Journalism. She has over 30 years' experience working in journalism and developing editorial and gastronomic projects. From 2011 to 2018, he was the editorial director at Vocento, having previously served as director of Innovation and Editorial Development, and deputy director of the Asturian newspaper El Comercio.
In September 2018, he became general director of Vocento Gastronomía, the division encompassing the group's gastronomic projects, including MadridFusion, of which he is also vice president; San Sebastián Gastronomika; and Spain. , Fusión, El Encuentro de los Mares, Terrae and Worldcanic, to name a few. Lana is alsothe driving force behind Madrid Culinary Campus, the gastronomic university created by Vocento and Comillas-Icade, where he is a member of the board of directors.
Passionate about cooking, Lana has worked as a food journalist for decades. He currently writes for XL Semanal, the award-winning national food website7 Caníbales and the food supplements and digital sections of Vocento's regional newspapers.
